Hope of the Village

In the film, teacher Etibar Shahuseynov drives one hour to a village school every day to teach a single pupil, overcoming every challenge that threatens the education of this child. Through Etibar, who was displaced during the First Karabakh War, and his student, we experience life in a remote Azerbaijani village, including the implications of the country’s education, economic and political policies.
